VJS Construction Services has expanded its leadership team and Board of Directors, naming Katie Kawczynski as a partner and Director of Architecture, representing the fifth non-family member to be named as a partner.
As a licensed architect, Katie Kawczynski holds NCARB certification and leads VJS’ design-build services. To create a more integrated approach and better meet our clients’ needs, we began offering in-house design-build services in 2014. She will augment our current leadership team to increase market share, expand geographically, and lead strategic initiatives. As an Architect for 13 years, she has spent the last six years of her career dedicated to helping VJS grow and expand strategically by creating innovative solutions for clients.
“Katie is particularly adept working with our clients to ensure their project vision is achieved. Her ability to make design and construction seamless provides an integrated approach for our clients, ensuring that project outcomes reflect their goals. Katie’s strong work ethic, positive outlook, and desire to dig for the best design-build solutions drive her passion for architecture and construction. This transition will support VJS’ goals for growth and allow us to take innovative steps toward the future,” said David Jorgensen, Executive Vice President of VJS Construction Services.
Greg Remus, CEO of Westbury Bank, shared, “VJS provided the continuity and ease we required for a renovation project, having design and construction as one integrated team made the project seamless. Katie and her team provided innovative solutions that always took into account the needs of our business and our clients. We are thrilled for Katie and wish her the utmost success in her new leadership position.”
According to Ryan Bedford, Executive Vice President of Developments of Bedford Development, “Katie brings confidence and a remarkable ability to provide quick solutions to design roadblocks on our various projects. She does so with expediency and accuracy to help maintain the project schedule while always being cognizant of budget constraints. I do not doubt that her competence and strategic thinking will support VJS’ long term goals.”
Katie will continue to provide leadership from the onset of a project through construction and has engaged with clients across various industries, including education, corporate office, financial, automotive, healthcare, non-profit, and hospitality since she began working at VJS. She is a strong proponent of identifying clients’ needs and helping them find solutions for those needs.
