Unveiling Excellence: Our Concrete Expertise Shines at 333 Water

333 Water luxury apartments are open, and we are thrilled to have played a crucial role in bringing this project to life.

As the concrete subcontractor for this modern living space, our self-performing concrete team showcased their skills and precision, laying the foundation for what is now a gateway to the Historic Third Ward – downtown Milwaukee’s premier arts, dining, and entertainment district.

This project not only demonstrates our concrete expertise but also underscores our commitment to creating spaces that enhance urban living. Let’s explore how our concrete work contributed to the success of this landmark development.

Our self-performing concrete team showcased exceptional skill and innovation by pouring an impressive 22,500 cubic yards of concrete over 38 weeks to form the foundation of this 33-story luxury high-rise. The project, led by W.E. O’Neil Construction for developer Hines, features 333 luxury apartments and an array of amenities including retail space, a dog spa, outdoor deck, club room, coworking spaces, and a fitness center.

What set this project apart was our team’s groundbreaking approach – implementing four-day pour sequences. This innovative method allowed us to pour a new floor every four days, significantly accelerating the construction process. As a result, we completed the structure of 333 Water in a remarkable three months ahead of the projected concrete construction timeline. This achievement not only demonstrates our concrete expertise but also our commitment to efficiency and cutting-edge construction techniques.

Here are some key stats that allowed our self-performing team to accomplish this feat and tackle the challenges of such a significant foundation pour:

·         99+ concrete construction workers

·         116,228 labor hours

·         2,370 truckloads of concrete

·         1,382 tons of rebar

·         2,800 square feet of building structure completed per day. We completed the structural foundation of an average size house in a day!

·         14,000 square feet of concrete finished per week. This is nearly twice as fast as the average.

·         300,836 pounds of post tension cables

·         534,000 total square feet of elevated Cast in Place concrete structure

The successful completion of 333 Water stands as a testament to our team’s expertise, innovation, and dedication. By leveraging our self-performing concrete capabilities and pioneering the four-day pour sequence in Southeastern Wisconsin, we have delivered a high-quality foundation for this luxurious high-rise.

As residents settle into their new homes, we take pride in knowing that our concrete work forms the solid foundation for their urban living experience. Our commitment to excellence and innovative approaches continues to drive us forward, ready to take on the next exciting project.
