MSOE – Hermann Viets Tower, Hmong American Peace Academy, and Trinity Woods – Intergenerational Housing, and United Community Center – Ricardo Diaz Early Learning Academy take home awards at the 2022 Real Estate Awards ceremony.

MSOE - VIETS TOWER Best Development - Education (Honorable Mention)
The 113,000 square foot renovation work was a complete gut of the structure, including new windows and roof on the exterior. The 57,000 square foot addition was a total cast-in-place concrete structure including two-way mild steel concrete decks, columns, and exposed walls. The addition has brick veneer, metal panels, and a curtain wall.
HMONG AMERICAN PEACE ACADEMY (HAPA) Best Public/Private Partnership
New 99,000 square-foot high school building with 38 classrooms, a 16,000-square-foot gymnasium, a multipurpose resource center with a student-run café, a museum dedicated to Hmong history and culture, and dedicated college and career resource centers, administrative offices and professional development facilities for teachers and staff.
TRINITY WOODS - INTERGENERATIONAL HOUSING Best New Development - Residential
Trinity Woods is a new 258,366 square foot, 168-unit intergenerational housing community at Mount Mary University formed by the three-way partnership between Mount Mary University, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and Milwaukee Catholic Home. The four wings of the building connect to the 30,000 square foot Town Center that includes shared amenities such as a bistro, commercial kitchen, dining room, club room, market, wellness center, chapel, library, early childhood education center, and theatre.
UNITED COMMUNITY CENTER - RICARDO DIAZ EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY Best New Development - Education
The Early Learning Academy provides the best in comprehensive early childhood education and family support programs to families located on the south side of Milwaukee. Services accommodate infants from six weeks to three years of age in 17 classrooms. Students at the early learning academy are exposed to a comprehensive, academic learning experience, including art, music, reading, math, and science.
