Exciting Developments in Racine Unified School District (RUSD). The RUSD is making significant strides in enhancing its schools and facilities, thanks to funds from the 2020 referendum. This construction is part of the RUSD's Long-Range Facilities Master Plan, aiming to create learning environments that align with the District's vision.
We are thrilled to continue our partnership with RUSD and contribute to these transformative projects.
Schulte K-8 School Project
Construction has begun for the new Schulte K-8 school, which will replace the existing Schulte Elementary School on the same site. The new 167,000-square-foot building will feature:
A larger gymnasium
A makerspace connected to the library
CTE labs
Dedicated art and music classrooms
Olympia Brown Elementary Expansion
We also celebrated the commencement of the Olympia Brown Elementary project. This expansion includes:
A middle school wing for grades 6 through 8
A new gym
A new cafeteria and kitchen
Additional parking and bus loop
These enhancements aim to create a more dynamic and supportive learning environment for students.
Both projects are scheduled for completion in fall 2025. We look forward to seeing these state-of-the-art facilities serve the RUSD community for years to come.
