The Maine Veterans’ Homes Augusta Team completed a very creative milestone on October 1. We did not have a traditional Topping Out Celebration last winter due to logistical challenges on our site.
However, we didn’t want to leave the Veterans and the rest of MVH without progress to celebrate – this yielded the first ever Cianbro/VJS Cupola Topping Out Celebration. It was certainly a very New England approach! For the last couple of months, the various Cupola components for our Memory Care Building (aka our highest point of the project) were stored at the existing MVH Augusta Campus so that their residents and staff could sign the Cupola itself. Our Assisted Living and Long Term Care Buildings will also receive their Cupolas in the near future.
